According to the leading website MoneyControl, Star India has almost doubled the amount compared to last year. Star India will spend Rs. 170 crore for each season of the Pro Kabaddi League. The same amount was Rs. 90 crore last year, sources said.
Star India Pro has been broadcasting the tournament since its inception. This is the first time that Mashal Sports has conducted an auction process for this. Now that the league will get double the money from Star India, the teams in the league will also get double the revenue, sources said.
