UP Yoddha thrash Puneri Paltan to reach semi-final
Tonight in the first eliminator of Vivo Pro Kabaddi League season 8, UP Yoddha crushed Puneri Paltan 42-31. UP Yoddha has reached in semi-finals of PKL 8. UP Yoddha will play semi-final against Patna Pirates on 23rd February at 7.30 pm.
Puneri Paltan had a fantastic start with Aslam Inamdar & Mohit Goyat raided well. The defense also was on point. As a result they inflicted an all-out on UP Yoddha. Paltan had a lead of 9-1. UP Yodddha marked their comeback.
UP raiders Pardeep Narwal & Surender Gill played will to turn the tables & they repaid the all-out on Puneri. Within 10 minutes Paltan was all-out for another time. At the end of the first half score was in favour of Yoddha 25-17.
Second half witnessed the raiding show of UP’s Surender Gill-Pardeep Narwal. Yoddha with their all-round performance got Puneri out for third time. After that Paltan had no chance to comeback in game. Then UP won the match.
UP Yoddha raider Pardeep Narwal picked up a super 10 with 18 raid points. It was his 9th super 10 in PKL 8 & overall 69th super 10 in his PKL career. Surender Gill scored 5 raid points. Sumit had a high 5 with 5 tackle points.
Skipper Nitesh Kumar notched up 3 tackle points. Puneri’s Aslam Inamdar had a super 10 with 10 raid points. Akash Shinde took 7 raid points. Mohit Goyat clinched 1 tackle & 3 raid points. Sombir picked up 3 tackle points.
