UP Yodha provides a ladder to aspiring kabaddi players

The Pro Kabaddi League has reached many heights of fame in the last six years. The league provided a platform for many emerging players. The UP Yodha team has now been added to this list. UP Yodha team has started its own Kabaddi training academy. Fans have been informed about this by a post on the social media of UP Yodha.

The name of this academy is UP Yodha B. K. Kabaddi Academy. According to the team’s website, the academy has been set up with the aim of imparting holistic training to various emerging players and making them future Kabaddi stars. The academy has a training and accommodation facility for 200 players. The academy provides outdoor running track, indoor matches and practice facilities for the players. In addition, there is a state-of-the-art gym and a hostel for the players. The academy is just outside the city of Meerut, two hours from Delhi.

The UP Yodha team has been playing in the tournament since the fifth season of the Pro Kabaddi League. The team is headquartered in Greater Noida, near Delhi, and is owned by GMR Group. Famous players like Nitesh Kumar, Rishank Devadiga, Monu Goyat, Shrikant Jadhav are part of this team. An event called Mat and Masala Chai was being organized on Instagram by UP Yodha during the lockdown. Various players from the UP Yodha team were providing information about the academy at the event. Now posting on their social media, the team has officially announced the academy.
