Uttar Pradesh’s National Kabaddi player to drive roadways bus

The Uttar Pradesh government recently launched  ‘Pink Bus’ initiative.  Under this initiative they will train women drivers from the month of March 2021. For this 18 girls have been selected. The girls include national kabaddi player Shashiprabha. She is currently working as a kabaddi coach at the Eklavya Sports Stadium in Agra. According to Amar Ujala, Shashi Prabha has been selected for this bus driver training.

Shashi Prabha wants to show that even women can do the work that is usually considered to be done by men. Shashiprabha has completed a diploma course in Kabaddi from the National Institute of Sports, Bangalore.

She had represented Uttar Pradesh in the 2019 Khelo India tournament in Pune and in Guwahati in 2020.
