Varanasi Team Clinched The Title Of 49th Uttar Pradesh State Championship
Since the Kabaddi season is ongoing with full swing many Kabaddi tournaments are being commenced. The 49th Uttar Pradesh State Championship Men was organised at Bartar, Nonhara Kasbe, Gazipur district, Uttar Pradesh.
This state level Kabaddi tournament is recognised by Uttar Pradesh State Kabaddi Association. This tournament is a chance for players to perform well & in order to get selected in the national championship.
MP from Baliya, Virendra Singh had inaugurated the competition. In the final match, Varanasi crushed host city Gazipur 37-28 & won the title of 49th Uttar Pradesh State Championship For Men.
Before that Varanasi beat Prayagraj 44-22 & Gazipur defeated Chetan Sports Club, Pune 31-26 to reach final. A total of 24 matches were played here where 12 teams took the part in this competition.
District Kabaddi Association president Hanuman Singh Yadav, national player Dinesh Singh, Veer Singh, Chanchal Singh, Munna Yadav, Surendra Yadav, Mulayam Yadav, Vijay Kushwaha graced the occasion.
