Women Kabaddi player surpassed record of Pardeep Narwal at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Chashak Kabaddi Tournament

Directorate of Youth and Sports Services, Maharashtra State in association with District Sports Officer’sVidarbha State Kabaddi Association office and Sports Academy, Sangli and Pune District Kabaddi Association is hosting ‘Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Chashak’ Kabaddi Tournament.

Yesterday (21st December) in Women’s section of this tournament Pune VS Satara match was played at group stage. In that match Satara Women’s Kabaddi team player Sonali Helawi supassed a record of scoring most raid points in a single match which was created by Pardeep Narwal in the fifth season of Pro Kabaddi League.

In the an eliminator match of PKL 5 against Haryana Steelers, Patna Pirate’s skipper Pardeep Narwal scored 34 raid points. This was the highest individual score. But yesterday Sonali picked up 36 raid points in the match against Pune. She scored 26 touch and 10 bonus points. Even after the steller performance she could not win the game for her team and lost to Pune 54-59.

Sonali is an aggressive raider and with her agility she is a master in scoring Bonus points. For her yesterday’s splendid performance she got the cash reward od Rs.10,000 as ‘Best Player Of The Day’ at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Chashak Kabaddi Tournament. Satara’s top Kabaddi player and captain Sonali has represented Maharashtra at different level like Junior, Sub Junior, School, University and Khelo India and also has captained the team.
